How does it work?
Bring two (or more!) books and leave with at least two new ones to add to your TBR pile. Show up by 6pm to get first pick from the selection - and feel free to swap out if new books show up later that you want!

We know many of you are readers, but this evening, we're looking for those of you who write. Whether you enjoy writing poetry or prose, fiction or non-fiction, we'd love to welcome you into our taproom to workshop and share with peers.
Fiction Beer Company's Writers Group will meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 7pm. You'll have dedicated writing time, plus an opportunity to share your work with peers, get feedback, and be part of a collaborative group to help continue refining your writing skills.

Open Mic
Open Mic night is back with our hosts, Tess Halonen & Colin Farnsworth! Whether you're a musician, poet, comedian, or any other type of entertainer, we'd love to see what you can do.
All ages are welcome. We ask that content and performances are kept radio-appropriate. Performers will each receive a free 4oz taster of beer/hard seltzer.
How it works:
**All performers must check in with the host.**
1. Sign-up starts 30 minutes before posted start time.
2. First come, first served.
3. Performers have 15 minutes total. (Subject to change)
4. We provide: 2 microphones, 2 mic stands, 2 instrument cables, and the house sound system. Other than that... bring what you need.
5. Do not bring amplifiers or drum kits. (Hand drums are acceptable)
6. When you are next – please be ready.
7. Tune-up gear before you go on stage.
8. Be respectful, considerate, and helpful to fellow performers.
9. Stay.
10. Applaud yourselves and offer useful feedback.

The Wit' Shakesbeer presents a FREE, cup-in-hand, 60(ish)-minute adaptation of Shakespeare's twinning-est comedy... at a taphouse!
To commemorate the longstanding tradition of drinking on, off, and all around the stage, The Wit's Shakesbeer & Fiction Beer Company present a FREE frothy, hopped-up comedy with notes of mistaken identity and seeing double... at a taphouse!
THE PLAY:
Two sets of separated-at-birth twins get repeatedly mistaken for one another in a series of escalating antics.
THE THING:
The Wit's Shakesbeer is performing The Comedy of Errors, an original 60(ish)-minute adaptation of Shakespeare’s twinning-est comedy.
THE BEAUTY:
Actors imbibe alongside the audience before and throughout the entire show… hijinx ensue. "Lambic" pentameter..."Vienna-style" verse—frankly, few things fit together like theatre and beer!
Open seating is first-come-first served, no tickets necessary. We encourage you to arrive with enough time to grab a drink before the show begins!

Qties & Cuties: A Comedy Open Mic Safe Space
QTs & Cuties is a Comedy Open Mic Safe Space for those who identify as Queer, Trans, and/or women! During a night of laughs and love, we will also be working diligently to cultivate community, connection, and camaraderie!
Punchlines hit better when everyone feels safe and seen! All comics will be made aware of this expectation, and additionally, there will be active moderation throughout the event to ensure our audience members feel safe.
This QTs & Cuties Comedy Series Event will be held at Fiction Beer Company on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026. The show starts at 7PM, you can show up earlier to sign up!

Book Signing + Reading w/ Jenn Zuko
Join us for an afternoon with local author Jenn Zuko! She'll be in our taproom from 3-6pm selling and signing copies of her book, Crowns of Gold, as well as doing a reading.
About the book:
She smiles with one side of her mouth. "And I shall kill another, on this one."
At that, she attempts a cut to his shoulder. Too simple. He parries it easily, and returns with a downward diagonal to her leg. She blocks it almost as though she were expecting it. She thrusts for his other shoulder, and he binds her blade around, hoping to dislodge her balance enough to--ho! Here's a surprise! At the bottom of the bind, she suddenly angles up, muscling his blade away, bringing hers up toward his groin. He change-beats her blade aside, but not fast enough to escape the nick it leaves on his thigh. How is this possible?
"First blood, Jack O'Napes?" she calls to whom John now assumes is her first mate.

In Crowns of Gold (or, The Compleat Guide to the Most Fearsome Pyrates of the Inland Sea, discovered in an ancient ruin, dusted off and translated from the ancient Calderian), Jenn Zuko merges the romance of classic adventure with the grit of survival and self-discovery. A master of stage combat and the fight as story, Zuko channels her deep knowledge of writing, literature, and the performing arts into the tale of Gemmanalia Jonquil, a runaway slave who rises into a swashbuckling pirate queen.

Feeling crafty but want to get out of the house? We have just the event for you! Join us on Saturday, August 8th from 1-5pm to get creative - together.
Want to work on something else crafty while you're in our taproom? Bring your own project to work on while chatting with other artsy people for the afternoon, and enjoy some delicious craft beer at the same time.
We'll also have some supplies for coloring, origami, and crochet for those of you who don't have a project in process but still want to join in and get creative.

Word on the street is the best trivia in Denver is at Fiction Beer Company - and our team of hosts-turned-owners would love to challenge your knowledge of obscure (and not-so-obscure) topics.
Each week, our regular trivia starts with a round on current events, includes a third round chosen by previous third-place winners, and finishes with a final Jeopardy-style round.
First and second-place winners get money off their next bar tab, while third-place winners get to choose a third-round topic for the next general trivia night.
90s Themed Vinyl Night
If you've ever wanted to take over the music in our taproom, here's your chance! Bring in a favorite record (or more), choose a side, and we'll queue it up to play. We'll switch over to vinyl from 5pm to close, but arrive early to get a jump start in the lineup!
You all loved the 80s - now we're moving on to the 90s! Bring your favorite vinyl from 90s artists, whether you were into Nirvana, Notorious B.I.G., Nsync, or anything in between.
Vinyl Night is now on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, each with its own theme.
Game Night
Our regular group of game nighters are back - and now for every first AND third Tuesday! Swing by our taproom on Tuesday, August 4th & 18th from 6pm onward for an open game night.
New members are always welcome. Open game nights offer easy, moderate, and higher level access points for all interests and capacities (because we know, we all sometimes just want to learn something fun and easy to relax after a long week!). You can jump in on a game that seems interesting to you or come prepared with a game you want to teach and share with others.
Regular game nighters are invited to join a Discord channel to stay connected on events and sign up for featured games.
We look forward to seeing you there! All are invited. Our game night space welcomes neurodiverse folx and is LGBTQ+ friendly.
Smutty Book Club
For August, we're jumping on the hockey smut bandwagon with Dear Roomie by Kate Meader!
We'll meet to discuss on Monday, August 3rd at 7pm.
As always, Spicy Librarian is our recommended bookstore to grab your copy.
The Fiction Beer Company Smutty Book Club meets on the first Monday of every month. We discuss our current reads, our darkest desires, and share a beverage (or two) with fellow smut enthusiasts. Qties & Cuties: A Comedy Open Mic Safe Space
QTs & Cuties is a Comedy Open Mic Safe Space for those who identify as Queer, Trans, and/or women! During a night of laughs and love, we will also be working diligently to cultivate community, connection, and camaraderie!
Punchlines hit better when everyone feels safe and seen! All comics will be made aware of this expectation, and additionally, there will be active moderation throughout the event to ensure our audience members feel safe.
This QTs & Cuties Comedy Series Event will be held at Fiction Beer Company on Friday, July 31st, 2026. The show starts at 7PM, you can show up earlier to sign up!

About the book:
