Horror Book Club
This year, spooky season calls for the start of a brand new book club at Fiction Beer Company - all for horror fans! The first pick is Wolf Worm by T Kingfisher, so buckle up for a chilling read and join us for our meeting on Monday, October 26th at 7pm.

About the book:

The Wit' Shakesbeer presents a FREE, cup-in-hand, 60(ish)-minute adaptation of Shakespeare's twinning-est comedy... at a taphouse!
To commemorate the longstanding tradition of drinking on, off, and all around the stage, The Wit's Shakesbeer & Fiction Beer Company present a FREE frothy, hopped-up comedy with notes of mistaken identity and seeing double... at a taphouse!
THE PLAY:
Two sets of separated-at-birth twins get repeatedly mistaken for one another in a series of escalating antics.
THE THING:
The Wit's Shakesbeer is performing The Comedy of Errors, an original 60(ish)-minute adaptation of Shakespeare’s twinning-est comedy.

Open Mic
Open Mic night is back with our hosts, Tess Halonen & Colin Farnsworth! Whether you're a musician, poet, comedian, or any other type of entertainer, we'd love to see what you can do.
All ages are welcome. We ask that content and performances are kept radio-appropriate. Performers will each receive a free 4oz taster of beer/hard seltzer.
How it works:
**All performers must check in with the host.**
1. Sign-up starts 30 minutes before posted start time.
2. First come, first served.
3. Performers have 15 minutes total. (Subject to change)
4. We provide: 2 microphones, 2 mic stands, 2 instrument cables, and the house sound system. Other than that... bring what you need.
5. Do not bring amplifiers or drum kits. (Hand drums are acceptable)
6. When you are next – please be ready.
7. Tune-up gear before you go on stage.
8. Be respectful, considerate, and helpful to fellow performers.
9. Stay.
10. Applaud yourselves and offer useful feedback.
Trivia Night
Word on the street is the best trivia in Denver is at Fiction Beer Company - and our team of hosts-turned-owners would love to challenge your knowledge of obscure (and not-so-obscure) topics.
Each week, our regular trivia starts with a round on current events, includes a third round chosen by previous third-place winners, and finishes with a final Jeopardy-style round.
First and second-place winners get money off their next bar tab, while third-place winners get to choose a third-round topic for the next general trivia night.
Writers Group
We know many of you are readers, but this evening, we're looking for those of you who write. Whether you enjoy writing poetry or prose, fiction or non-fiction, we'd love to welcome you into our taproom to workshop and share with peers.
Fiction Beer Company's Writers Group will meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 7pm. You'll have dedicated writing time, plus an opportunity to share your work with peers, get feedback, and be part of a collaborative group to help continue refining your writing skills.

Discover new favorites and mingle with fellow book lovers while sipping your go-to Fiction brews. Whether you’re clearing out duplicates, parting with books you’re done with, or hunting for your next great read, this cozy community swap is the place to be.
How does it work?
Bring two (or more!) books and leave with at least two new ones to add to your TBR pile. Show up by 6pm to get first pick from the selection - and feel free to swap out if new books show up later that you want!

Hear ye, hear ye! Bards of the Bar is back for another bardically inspiring show. Join Countess Arachnophobia and...uh oh, seems like Jester Rex has gone missing this time around! Find out what happened to the dear jester with a night of revelry, beer, and drag!
Doors open at 7 pm and show starts at 8 pm.
Bring your singles to tip the cast, and come dressed in your best ren faire outfit to participate in our costume contest.

Chocolatina Q Dessert will be in our taproom selling pies and performing a few songs - singing along is encouraged! Get here early to make sure you can get the pie you want, because she sells out fast.

Jazz Themed Vinyl Night
If you've ever wanted to take over the music in our taproom, here's your chance! Bring in a favorite record (or more), choose a side, and we'll queue it up to play. We'll switch over to vinyl from 5pm to close, but arrive early to get a jump start in the lineup!

Vinyl Night is now on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, each with its own theme.
Game Night
Our regular group of game nighters are back - and now for every first AND third Tuesday! Swing by our taproom on Tuesday, August 4th & 18th from 6pm onward for an open game night.
New members are always welcome. Open game nights offer easy, moderate, and higher level access points for all interests and capacities (because we know, we all sometimes just want to learn something fun and easy to relax after a long week!). You can jump in on a game that seems interesting to you or come prepared with a game you want to teach and share with others.
Regular game nighters are invited to join a Discord channel to stay connected on events and sign up for featured games.

Book Club

The Fiction Beer Company Book Club meets on the third Monday of every month at 7pm. We discuss the monthly read, our ever-growing TBR list, and enjoy a beverage (or two) with the company of our fellow bookish nerds. Finishing the book isn’t required, but you’ll just have to live with the spoilers.

Celtic Session with Denver Celtic Night
We're back! This is an open and free session at Fiction Beer company, our new regular location. The third Saturday of each month, we'll have an hour of tune learning and then follow it up with a faster-paced session.
